THE VINYL PERV

This everlasting music journey began in the early 1970s and fascination with my parents stereo system  and records which I started playing them  mostly salsa at the living room in Lima Peru . Made a family move to Paterson NJ in the fall of 1974 till present .With an introduction of abundant music in the USA , I stayed in the bounds of The Disco Soul Rap and Latin grooves  .Then in the 80s got exposure to the NYC nightlife and the addiction of buying and trading records began .I had a dream job in the mid 80s at Crazy Eddies record department , where I acquired most of my music on vinyl ….Till this day I continue on buying records with giving special interest on distinctive rhythms and special interest on hand drums (congas , bongos )which is my instrument on the go … Nowadays Im putting time on selecting records with special grooves for the public to hear, on record store venues, private parties or with other DJs in the tristate area .
